The Board of Directors for Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 151 (FBCMUD 151, or the District) would like to take this opportunity to update residents as to the status of sidewalk projects within Firethorne.
Phase I includes construction of 11,500 linear feet of sidewalk seen in red. In addition to these areas that can be seen above there will also be two ADA compliant ramps installed as well as a new crosswalk on Rumson Drive as shown below. The Estimated cost for construction and engineering is approximately $650,000 and the project is expected to begin in the Fall of this year and be completed in early 2023.The above map also shows areas of focus for a proposed Phase II approach, that will be considered for approval in the future.
In addition to the Board approving Phase I of the mobility improvement plan, they also entered into an agreement with EHRA Engineering for landscape architecture services to develop the District’s long-term park and recreational master plan for additions and enhancements to the Firethorne facilities.
