The Board of Directors of Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 151 want to take this opportunity to update residents regarding the upcoming bank restoration project. The District entered into a construction contract with Double Oak Erosion, Inc. to restore portions of the banks around Lake Firethorne and the northernmost lake on the east side of the District. The goal of the project is to limit further bank erosion and re-establish the shoreline in the proposed areas of work. Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2022 and anticipated to be complete by April 2022. Portions of the trails around the northernmost East Lake and Lake Firethorne may be inaccessible during construction.
