Firethorne Resident Update: Hurricane Laura

See All Posts

With Hurricane Laura strengthening as it approaches the Texas/Louisiana border, Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 151 (FBCMUD 151) wants to reassure all Firethorne residents that it is monitoring the situation in conjunction with the District’s operator, Inframark.

  • FBCMUD 151 and Inframark are continuously monitoring Hurricane Laura as it is expected to make landfall Wednesday night/Thursday morning.
  • In preparation, Inframark has topped off the diesel generator at the water plant, and there is a natural gas generator on-site as backup. Loss of service is not expected. Residents should report any issues with utility service to Inframark’s 24-hour dispatch line, 281-398-8211.
  • If you have irrigation or sprinkler systems, pool auto-fills, or other systems that are water-use heavy, make sure you turn them off prior to the storms so they are not operating and potentially wasting water.
  • Firethorne residents should fuel vehicles and generators now.
